	Delta Pi (Austin Peay State University) and Iota Beta (Murray State University) were moved into a new provinces. This leaves only the alumnae chapter and 5 college chapters in the Nashville and Psi B in Murfreesboro.
	Fay Thompson has written the book, Notes on Shaped Notes, Remembering...Some Places, Events, and People in the History of the Traditional Convention-Style Gospel Music. The book contains many photos and an introduction by James D. Walbert. [ Order Information ]

Louis Nicholas was initiated as "Honorary Member, Friend of the Arts" by Nashville Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity.

At the February 2002 meeting, Jean Parks was presented a certificate and pin honoring her fifty years of membership in Sigma Alpha Iota.
